Stainless steel components to be used in electrochemical cells, e.g. fuel cells, are treated by an electrochemical and/or chemical oxidation treatment, e.g. cyclic voltammetry, in order to modify the surface characteristics, viz. surface composition and/or morphology, and thereby reduce the interfacial resistance associated with the surface of the component. |
