PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for controlling a remote-controlled air conditioner are provided to selectively control an inside telephone and the air conditioner by signal of an outside telephone. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus includes an outside telephone(10) transmitting control signal for an air conditioner(30) or normal telephone signal as telephone signal; a telemodule(20) receiving and recognizing telephone signal of the outside telephone and selecting a receiving apparatus for the input signal to relay the transmitted signal; an inside telephone(15) controlled by the telemodule to receive telephone signal of the outside telephone; and a control part(55) controlled by the telemodule to receive control signal for the air conditioner from the outside telephone and controlling driving of the air conditioner.
