LAUNCHING NOSE OF ILM BRIDGE

PURPOSE: A launching nose useable in ILM(Incremental Launching Method) bridge construction is provided to remarkably reduce critical sectional stress (bending moment) to a desired level and to enhance durability of the construction. CONSTITUTION: The launching nose comprises a number of extrusion components located on top structure of a bridge and fixed by coupling device at a constant interval and tapered in the extrusion direction to decrease its height; and a reinforcement component formed on the extrusion component. The extrusion component is I type girder and having a width(W1) less than another width(W2) of the top structure so that without blade wall, the extrusion component can be secured to the top structure and reduce height of the structure. The extrusion component has a length of 0.75-1.0 times of the largest span length of the top structure.
