<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hill start auxiliary equipment that is adapted to a combination vehicle by maintaining the brake pressure even when the driver takes his/her foot off a clutch pedal and controlling the timing of releasing the brake pressure that has been maintained without depending on the stroke of the clutch pedal. SOLUTION: Hill start auxiliary equipment detects the condition of a suspension that is provided between an axle and an undercarriage of a vehicle. When the vehicle is started on a grade, the hill start auxiliary equipment releases the brake pressure that has been maintained at the timing when the condition of the suspension changes a given amount in a given direction. For a vehicle that has an air suspension, the hill start auxiliary equipment detects the air pressure of the air suspension and releases the brake pressure that has been maintained depending on the change (Δp) in the air pressure.</p> |
