摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cut-off structure of a structure joint surface using a soft material and its water cut-off construction method capable of exhibiting water cut-off performance by blocking up meshes by being passively deformed to water pressure, and capable of surely cutting off water even if irregulality such as dislocation is caused in a joint surface by a complicated-shaped joint surface and earth pressure. SOLUTION: This water cut-off construction method inserts the soft material into a water cut-off groove formed on the joint surface of a structure, and determines limit water cut-off pressure of the inserting soft material on the basis of extrusion resistance force of the material, and adjusts the resistance force so as to become preassumed action water pressure or more. Here, the limit water cut-off pressure is determined by the following calculation expression. When using a water expansive rubber material as an undefined water cut-off material, P=-b+2.3α.Py.log (H0 /H1 ). As a general equation applicable over a wide range to rupture strength of a water cut-off material, P=-b+2.3α.log (H0 /H1 ) is provided. Here, P indicates the limit water cut-off pressure (MPa),α, a and b indicate a constant, Py indicates tensile strength of the water cut-off material (MPa), H0 indicates the thickness of the water cut-off material, and H1 indicates a mesh aperture, respectively.
