PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of a heat roller type which prevents a jam by surely separating a recording paper from the nip section of a fixing roller and a pressurizing roller. SOLUTION: The fixing roller 11 is formed by laminating three layers; a heat resistant rubber layer 6, i.e., a surface layer 1, an intermediate layer 2 and a base layer 3 on a core material. The electric resistance value of the base layer 3 is specified to be <1.0 E+06Ω. An adhesive layer essentially consisting of a silicone resin and having <=0.5μm in thickness is interposed between the base layer 3 and the core material 4. The pressurizing roller is formed by laminating the adhesive layer, the base layer, the intermediate layer and the surface layer in this order like the fixing roller. The electric resistance value of the base layer 3 of the fixing roller is also specified to be <1.0 E+06Ω. The fixing roller and the pressurizing roller are provided with the base layers having the resistance value within a prescribed range respectively as their heat resistant layers, by which wrapping of the recording paper around the fixing roller and the pressurizing roller is prevented and the recording paper is surely separated from the nip section of the fixing device.
