PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear device capable of smoothly rotating planetary gears. SOLUTION: This planetary gear device is formed with housing parts 2e rotatably housing the planetary gears 3 between a plurality of retention projection parts 2d of a carrier 2. A connection part 2f annularly extending around a rotational axis L is formed on the peripheral faces of tip end parts of the respective retention projection parts 2d. The connection part 2f connects the tip parts of the respective retention projection parts 2d to each other. Thereby, the respective retention projection part 2d are reinforced to extremely reduce deformation thereof. As a result, deformation of the housing part 2e is extremely reduced to allow smooth rotation of the planetary gear 3 housed in the housing part 2e.
