PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition which is lightweight, has an appropriate hardness, excels in the dimension stability of a compound and flexing resistance and, simultaneously, reduces heat build-up and energy loss. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. vulcanizable rubber, (A) 1-50 pts.wt. syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene (SPB) having a reduced viscosity of 0.1-4 and (B) 1-60 pts.wt. inorganic reinforcing agent, and has a die swell ratio, when extruded from a die (D=2 mm and L/D=16) at 100 deg.C at a rate of 150/s, of <=1.7.
