The bearing has an engine-sided first bearing surface (8) and a crankshaft-sided second bearing surface sliding on the first. The first bearing surface is partly or completely of aluminum, and the second surface is completely or partly of austempered ductile iron (ADI). The first bearing surface is integral with the engine block (2). The second bearing surface is integral with the crankshafts (1). The bearing surface materials have heat expansion coefficients, which deviate by less than 10%, pref. less than 6%.
