PURPOSE: A heat exchanger for kimchi storage device is provided to protect kimchi from over-seasoning or freezing and achieve an improved cooling efficiency by maintaining intervals of evaporator pipes optimum. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger(9) includes a heater(5) for heating a kimchi storage chamber(2) and an evaporator(8) for cooling the kimchi storage chamber, wherein the heater and evaporator are installed at the outer periphery of the kimchi storage chamber. The evaporator has pipes which are wound from the top of the kimchi storage chamber, in such a manner pipe have intervals A, B, C, D, C, wherein A < D < B < C, and A has a length of 25 to 35mm. The evaporator has a lowermost pipe wound at the interval of B.
