PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and compact gaseous hydrogen manufacturing and filling device and an electrochemical device which can easily produce gaseous hydrogen, and efficiently compress and fill the hydrogen. SOLUTION: The gaseous hydrogen producing and filling device comprises and electrolysis unit 1 for generating gaseous hydrogen by electrolysis, a pressing unit 2 for compressing gaseous hydrogen generated by the electrolysis unit 1, and a filling unit 4 for filling the compressed gaseous hydrogen in gaseous hydrogen tanks 50-58. The electro-chemical device comprises the electrolysis unit 1 for generating gaseous hydrogen by electrolysis, the pressing unit 2 for compressing gaseous hydrogen generated by the electrolysis unit 1, and the filling unit 4 for filling the compressed gaseous hydrogen in the gaseous hydrogen tanks 50-58, and the pressing unit 2 also functions as a fuel cell unit which can be irreversibly operated by gaseous hydrogen from the filling unit 4 and gaseous oxygen or gas containing oxygen fed thereto. |
