<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incomplete cutting at the forward end of a sheet by preventing the forward end of the sheet from being cut again at the time of resetting a cutter to a reference position. SOLUTION: A cutter is supported to reciprocate freely by manual operation between two reference positions determined in regions on the opposite sides in the widthwise direction of a sheet. When a decision is made that the cutter is left at a stop position other than a reference position (N in S2, N in S3), forward end of the sheet is returned by a desired amount to the upstream side from the cutter (S4) and then the cutter is reset to the reference position (S5). Consequently, the forward end of the sheet is prevented from being cut again at the time of resetting the cutter to the reference position and occurrence of incomplete cutting is prevented at the forward end of the sheet.</p> |
