PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which can charge a main capacitor after the emission of auxiliary light for automatic focusing without deteriorating its operability as much as possible. SOLUTION: When a subject is dark, a shutter-release button is half-pressed (SP1 ON) and then auxiliary light is emitted from an electronic flash (AF preliminarily light emission), so that automatic focusing control is performed. When the shutter-release button is half-pressed and released successively, the main capacitor of the electronic flash is charged alternately for charging times of 150 ms and 300 ms. |
