PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device that can appreciably feed a continuous recording medium such as paper and a sheet of plastic film. SOLUTION: The image recording device, which has a tension control part 2 for controlling tension on continuous recording paper (recording medium) 1 between feed rollers 71 and 72 and ejection rollers 73 and 74 for the recording medium 1, a width direction regulation part 8 for the recording medium 1, image transfer parts 3a to 3d for transferring a toner image to the recording medium 1, and a fixing part 5 for fixing the transferred toner image, is equipped with a frictional resistance adjustment part 9 for applying frictional resistance force to the recording medium 1 upstream of the feed rollers, in which wrapping lengths of the recording medium 1 on friction bars 91 to 93 of the frictional resistance adjustment part 9 are adjusted. Tension on the continuous recording medium can be thus constant to produce a high precision feed and a high printing quality recording image.
