PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for a sample book which enables very easy binding of a book of mounts whereon samples are stuck, and which enables disposal of the binder without separating it from the sample book. SOLUTION: The binder comprises a main body 1 and binding pins 2 both of which are molded articles of a burnable synthetic resin. The main body 1 has a rectangular back plate part 4 which can be fitted fixedly to a cover 20, and two long lateral plate parts 5 and a short lateral plate part 6 which are bent respectively from two long sides and one short side of the back plate part. The two long lateral plate parts have, in the upper edge parts thereof, guide grooves 7 in which the opposite side parts 3 of the U-shaped binding pins 2 fit slidably, and the opposite side parts 3 of the binding pins 2 inserted through binding holes 11 of one book of the mounts 10 are inserted into the two guide grooves 7 from openings 8 on the other short side of the guide grooves 7, so as to bind the mounts 10. In the binder thus constituted, projecting parts 9 which do not obstruct penetration of the opposite side parts 3 of the binding pins into the inner parts, but obstruct their withdrawal therefrom, are provided on the inner sides 12 of the guide grooves 7.
