PURPOSE: A method and a device for compensating a system clock signal of a video processor are provided to prevent a picture from momentarily freezing or repeated playing due to changes in input synchronization signals. CONSTITUTION: A video display processor obtains a frame size according to scanning types of input and output video signals(SA1). The video display processor obtains a pixel number per frame of an input signal based on a system clock signal(SA2). The video display processor obtains a difference between the pixel number per frame and the frame size(SA3). The video display processor sets up an offset value to be compensated in a current PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) value from an error value of a pulse width modulating signal(SA4). The video display processor obtains a control value for generating the compensated pulse width modulating signal based on the offset value, and provides the control value to a pulse width modulating signal generator(SA5-SA6).
