摘要 PURPOSE: Optimum suspension layout using a steering gear frame is provided to improve productivity, to reduce the cost by modularizing a steering mechanism assembly and a sub frame, and to secure safety by preventing a steering gear motor from entering into the room of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: Optimum suspension layout using a steering gear frame includes a sub frame(2) and a steering mechanism assembly. The sub frame comprises side members(4,6) longitudinally disposed and a cross member(8) disposed on front side of the side members in the cross direction. The steering mechanism assembly includes steering gear motors(28,30) disposed to the side members and a steering power transmission device transmitting movement of rods(36,38) of the steering gear motor to a knuckle, to steer. The front sides of the side members are fixed to main side members of a vehicle body and the rear side is fixed to the cross member of the vehicle body. The steering mechanism and the sub frame are integrated and modularized and therefore, rigidity is improved and the time for the assembling is reduced.
