PEARL-TONE PRINTED MATTER AND CONTROLLING METHOD FOR ITS PRINT DENSITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve discrepancy between decisions on the finishing state in printing of a pearl-tone printed matter, which are difficult to be set even under the condition that limit samples are agreed upon due to the difference between the deciding conditions of the finishing state in printing, such as decisions as that one and the same finishing state can be decided as a printing density equal to the density of a lower bound limit sample through the decision under light illumination in a printing company and can be seen as a printing density lower than the density of the lower bound limit sample at an orderer side. SOLUTION: A minute amount of (a) a fluorescent substance or (b) a coloring material having absorption in a visible ray region is added except a pearl pigment to a pearl ink. So as to indirectly decide the amount of the pearl pigment in order to increase or decrease the amount of the pearl pigment in a pearl-tone coating film on the basis of the decided amount of the pearl pigment for preventing the discrepancy between the decisions from developing, the development of fluorescnce is checked through the irradiation of ultraviolet rays in the case of (a) or the absorption under white light is checked in the case of (b).
