PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing background of fluorescence detection, in a DNA microarray, which can provide improved reproducibility and detection sensitivity than a conventional one with receiving no influence of non-specifically adsorbed fluorochrome DNAs and unpurified fluorochrome derivatives. SOLUTION: The method for fluorescence detection using a solid phase carrier wherein probe molecules to be detected are immobilized is characterized that the background is reduced using a quencher.
