PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition which is lightweight, has an appropriate hardness, excels in the dimension stability of a compound and durability such as abrasion resistance and tear strength, and is suited in use for industrial products such as a hose, a belt, and a vibration-damping rubber and soling materials of footwear such as men's shoes, women's shoes, and sports shoes. SOLUTION: The soling rubber composition comprises (A) 50-95 pts.wt. vulcanizable rubber, (B) 5-50 pts.wt. syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene (SPB) having a reduced viscosity of 0.1-4, and (C) 0-30 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. sum of components (A) and (B), inorganic reinforcing agent, and has a tear strength according to JIS-K6253 of >=60 N/mm.
