PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of chips without requiring screw work at a job site for preventing looseness of a piston and a piston rod. SOLUTION: This connecting device for the piston and the piston rod of a cylinder device is constituted so that the piston slides on an inner peripheral surface of a cylinder tube by hydraulic pressure. A male screw 44 arranged on the piston rod 13 is screwed in a female screw 35 arranged on the piston 12, and these are integrated. A peripheral groove 45 is arranged on the piston rod 13. A set screw 39 enters a screw hole 37 arranged in the radial direction in the piston 12, the tip engages with the peripheral groove 45, and an opening edge part of the screw hole 37 is calked inside to prevent slipping-out of the set screw 39.
