PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized fluid machine capable of cooling a helical mechanism part without using lubricating oil and provided with a cylindrical case integrately covering the helical mechanism part and an electric motor part promoting ventilation, and easy to assemble. SOLUTION: This fluid machine is a helical type fluid machine having a cooling through hole reaching at least adjacent of the helical mechanism part from an end surface of a rotating shaft exposed to atmosphere. A shape formed by connecting outermost projection parts of a cylinder section perpendicular to the rotating shaft and a shape formed by connecting outermost projection parts of the electric motor part section perpendicular to the rotating shaft are almost the same.
