PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate or reduce thermal stress generated between a steam supplying pipe and an inner casing of a low pressure steam turbine. SOLUTION: In a steam turbine 10 including a multistage cascade 14 provided along a rotor 12 extending in a longitudinal direction, the inner rotor chamber 16 surrounding the cascade 14 and forming plural bleeding chambers 18a, 18b, 18c, an outer casing 20 surrounding the rotor 12 and the inner casing 16, and the steam supplying pipe 22 passing through the outer casing 20 in a lateral direction and connected to the inner casing 16 for supplying steam to the cascade 14, steam is introduced from a space between the inner casing 16 and the outer casing 20 to a partitioning wall 34 between a steam inlet passage 24 receiving steam supplied from the steam supplying pipe 22 and introduced to the cascade 14 in the inner casing 16 and the bleeding chamber 18c of the highest pressure in the bleeding chambers formed in the inner casing 16 to cool the partitioning wall 34.
