PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for forming printed matter without requiring connection to a host apparatus and without degrading the quality of image data even when the printed matter is formed with the utilization of image data, and handwritten data or the like other than the image data. SOLUTION: The image output apparatus is provided with an external interface to which a storage medium having first printing object data stored is detachable, a read means for reading the first printing object data from the storage medium set to the external interface, an image input means for reading and converting a predetermined document to image data and inputting the converted image data as second printing object data, a generating means for generating image data based on the first printing object data read by the read means and the second printing object data inputted by the image input means, and a printing means for executing printing to a printing medium on the basis of the image data generated by the generating means. |
