PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a drainage function by inhibiting the generation of a snow cover and an ice dam in a water catching/draining ditch. SOLUTION: In the water catching/draining ditch structure 1 of a non-snow falling roof, a pair of roofs 2a and 2b are inclined and arranged so that the water catching/draining ditch 3 is held between a pair of the roofs and so that each drainage slope of a pair of the roofs 2a and 2b is directed in the direction of the water catching/draining ditch 3. The water catching/draining ditch 3 is composed of a ditch backing 4 constituted in an approximately U-shaped cross section so that an upper section is formed in an opening end, a waterproof sheet 7 covered on the ditch backing and a U-shaped steel plate 8 as a ditch body partially abutted and arranged to the waterproof sheet while a bottom- section opening 10 for communicating with a drain pipe 9 is formed to the U-shaped steel plate. A space surrounded by a recessed section 17 covered with the waterproof sheet 7 and the U-shaped steel plate 8 is formed to the lower section of the U-shaped steel plate 8 along the longitudinal direction of the water catching/draining ditch 3 as a hollow duct 12.
