摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance driving capability and also to enlarge the aperture ratio by arranging optimally an asymmetric structure thin film transistor so that the current of the transistor becomes larger. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device whose driving capability is enhanced and whose luminance is improved, is obtained by electrically connecting an electrode whose width is larger in the source electrode and the drain electrode of a thin film transistor for driving a pixel to a pixel electrode, in a liquid crystal display device. Moreover, an organic EL (electroluminescence) display device which is capable of performing more correct display and whose aperture ratio is large, is obtained by arranging the polarity relation of the source electrode and the drain electrode of the asymmetric structure thin film transistor driving directly a pixel in the circuit of a display panel so that the current of the transistor becomes larger, in an organic EL display device.
