PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a waste lubricating oil which is a method for efficiently purifying a waste lubrication oil even on a small scale without generating harmful by-products or without forming another waste, and a new waste lubricating oil which has developed the advantage of the centrifuge method and has solved its disadvantages. SOLUTION: The method for purifying a waste lubricating oil comprises mixing a waste lubricating oil with water, and placing the resulting mixture under a gravitational acceleration of 20,000-200,000 G to entrap chlorine compounds present in the waste lubricating oil and substance mixed thereinto such as extremely fine metals into water thereby separating them from the waste lubricating oil.
