CONDITIONER FOR WATER-CONTAINING SOIL, AND CONDITIONING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conditioner capable of conditioning a water-containing soil at low loadings in a short time and suitable for reusing it as a sand substitute, and a conditioning method. SOLUTION: This conditioner for a water-containing soil comprises a water- soluble polymer having a mean particle diameter smaller than 50μm and a moisture absorption of 120% or lower when left to stand for 10 hr at 20 deg.C and a humidity of 60%. The method for conditioning a water-containing soil comprises mixing the soil with the conditioner so as to condition the soil at low loadings in a short time into a finely divided particulate solidified material having sufficient strength and a prescribed particle diameter.
