PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously manufacture with high productivity water-absorptive resin powder with its surface modified, narrow in grain size distribution and high in performance. SOLUTION: The method comprises a polymerization process, drying process, pulverization process, classification process, surface modification process, and a transfer process connecting the above processes. The transfer process uses at least two hoppers for accommodating the water-absorptive resin powder. A powder surface detector suitable for this method has a float suspended by suspension lines. |
