PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knot forming tool capable of surely and easily setting a fish line to a fishhook. SOLUTION: This knot forming tool comprises a casing 1 having a fixed head 3 on the tip, a rod movably contained in the casing 1. A mobile head part 7 freely moving out and in to the fixing head 3 is formed on the tip 22a' of the rod. This tool forms the knots of the fishing line to the fishhook by the out and in movement of the mobile head 7 to the fixed head 3 by installing an engaging part on the mobile head part 7, and the engaging part set the fishing line 21 in a state able to insert in the (out) movement of the mobile head 7 and set the fishing line in fixing state in the (in) movement. The fishing line 21 is wound in folding twice state on the fixed head 3, and the mobile head 7 carries out (in) movement in a state clamping the free end part 22 and inserting the free end part 22a into the fishing line 21 wound on the fixed head 3.
