PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe cutter capable of easily working to indicate inserting length of a pipe against a coupling on the pipe when cutting the pipe. SOLUTION: This pipe cutter 11 is furnished with a pair of working pieces 12, and each of the working pieces 12 is connected free to revolve to open and close by a turning shaft 13. A blade part 16 is provided on a distal end side of the first working piece 15, and a holding part 19 is provided on the tip side of the second working piece 18. Additionally, a holding recessed part 22 free to store the pipe 14 is formed in a V shape on the holding part 19, and a first guide surface 25 and a second guide surface 26 are formed through a stepped part 27 on one side surface of the holding part 19. Furthermore, a distance to the blade part 16 from these guide surfaces 25, 26 is set to be the same as the length of the pipe 14 inserted into two couplings.
