PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment tool insertion aid for an endoscope capable of enhancing the insertability of a treatment tool into a treatment-tool passing channel by achieving prevention of buckling of the treatment tool for the endoscope, a reduction in the time to insert or withdraw the treatment tool into the channel, and a reduction in an assistant's man hours. SOLUTION: The operation of inserting or withdrawing a catheter 1 into or out of the treatment-tool insertion part 7 of the endoscope 2 is intermittently carried out by repeating the operation of moving, together with an inner cylinder member 16, the catheter 1 locked to the locking part 18a of the inner cylinder member 16, as the operation of moving the inner cylinder member 16 into and out of an outer cylinder member 15 is carried out. Also, a guide wire fixing part 33 is provided for inserting a guide wire 8 into an insertion aid body 17 and fixing it there.
