PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute heat drying of garbage in a short time by securing time for energizing a heating means when drying the garbage in a container. SOLUTION: A garbage disposer is composed of a main body 1, a cover 2 covering an opening of the main body 1, an outside fixed vessel 3 attached on the main body 1, the container 4 provided with freely attaching/detaching in the vessel 3, the heating means 12 for heating the garbage in the container 4, a temperature sensor 28 for controlling the heating means 12 and a controlling circuit 29. The controlling circuit 29 performs temperature control so that the heating means 12 generates heat rapidly till the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 28 reaches a prescribed temperature. After reaching the prescribed temperature, energizing ratio of the heating means 12 is detected and corresponding to detected energizing ratio, heat generation of the heating means 12 is reduced by the controlling circuit 29.
