PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial scale filtering and drying apparatus in which a dried solid material is obtained from slurry in a short time and the cleaning of the inside of the apparatus is easily performed. SOLUTION: This filtering and drying apparatus provided with a temperature control means for filtering, separating and drying a solid material in the slurry is provided with a drum part 20 in which each of the upper surface and the lower surface is formed into an opening surface and which has a cake interface detector 24, a slurry supply port 21 having a tip part movable in the vertical direction, a discharge port 22 for the dried solid material and a heat transfer part 27 in the inside lower side, an upper part filter medium 30 and a lower part filter medium 31 arranged to cover the respective upper and lower opening surfaces of the drum part 20 and for separating the solid material in the slurry, an upper cover 50 covering the upper opening surface of the drum part 20 detachably and a lower cover 60 covering the lower opening surface of the drum part 20 detachably. The upper cover 50 and the lower cover 60 have an upper cover nozzle 51 and a lower cover nozzle 61 to discharge the filtrate passed respectively through the filter media 30 and 31 and to supply and discharge a gas for drying, and a vibration generating means for vibrating the combination of the drum part 20, the filter media 30 and 31 and the upper cover 50 and the lower cover 60 is provided.
