PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip rod excellent in torsional rigidity, of which diameter can be minimized. SOLUTION: This tip rod 4 consists of a rod base side member 11 constituting the rod base side and a tip rod side member 12 constituting the tip rod side, and is constituted by joining both of them. The base rod side member 11 consists of a fiber-reinforced resin in which reinforcing fibers are oriented in axial direction, and the tip rod side member 12 consists of a fiber reinforced resin in which the reinforcing fibers are oriented in circumferential or crossing direction.
