PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the radiation exposure of piping and machinery by separating and collecting dust contaminated with radioactivity on the spot when the dust is sucked. SOLUTION: The cleaning appliance A of vacuum cleaning equipment is constituted of the dust separator 23 connected to a cleaning appliance mounting port 11, a flow channel changeover device 24 for changing over flow channels so that air is allowed to directly flow in the cleaning equipment body part B when sucked dust is not contaminated with radioactivity and the dust is separated and collected from air by the dust separator 23 when contaminated to allow air to flow in the cleaning equipment body part B, the flexible hose 21 connected to the dust separator 23 through the flow channel changeover device 24, the attachment 22 connected to the flexible hose 21 and the radioactivity detector 25 provided to the attachment 22 to detect whether dust is contaminated with radioactivity and sending the result to the flow channel changeover device 24.
