PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying contaminated soil by which purification is uniformly performed and withdrawal of a solvent does not require much time. SOLUTION: A valve 54 of a pipe 61 is shut and purified solvent is fed to an extraction tower 10 store prescribed amount of the solvent therein by a pump 53 from a purified solvent tank 40. When the prescribed amount of the solvent is stored in the extraction tower, the contaminated soil 1 is charged in the solvent. After a prescribed time, the valve is opened, a pump 51 is operated, the solvent containing a pollutant is poured into a discharged solvent tank 20. When the solvent is stored to a certain extent therein, a pump 52 is operated and the solvent is made to pass through a purifying tank 30 to remove the pollutant and then is sent and is stored in the purified solvent tank 40. The soil from which the pollutant is removed, is taken out by rotating the extraction tower 10 by using a forklift, for example.
