METHOD OF PROMOTING GROWTH OF FARM ANIMAL AND POULTRY AND FEED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving and promoting farm animal and poultry without stress on these animal and poultry and the feed for farm animal and poultry suitable therefor. SOLUTION: Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), is added to the feed or raw materials for the feed or they are used in combination for a certain fixed period to promote the growth of farm animal or poultry. The growth-promoting feed is given by adding milk thistle to the feed for farm animal or poultry. The milk thistle is in the form of powder of extract and is given in an amount of 0.001-1.00 wt.% in terms of the feed weight.
