PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner capable of easily adjusting a length of a shoulder strap. SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner is provided with the shoulder strap 30. A reel for winding the strap 30 from its one end side is provided in a cleaner body 21. A hook 35 of another end of the strap 30 is engaged with a locking part 25 of a hose connecting part 23. The strap 30 can be drawn out for a desired length from the reel 40, and a fixing means 50 is provided capable of fixing the strap at the drawn length.
