PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive fall preventing device which is easily attached afterward to an existing object without deteriorating appearance and has no restriction concerning an arrangement place and also to provide a fall preventing method. SOLUTION: A supporter member 1 to be operated by displacement is disposed between the object 9 which is shaken by a vibration and the arrangement surface 91 of the object. When a gap 94 is generated by the vibration between the object 9 and the arrangement surface 91, the support member 1 is displaced due to the gap 94 so as to hold at least a part of the gap 94.
