PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaving apparatus which has a fixed blade and a movable blade. SOLUTION: In this shaving apparatus having the fixed blade 18 and the movable blade 48, a shaving head 10 includes a guard 47 which is an almost rigid body, and a cap 16 which is arranged with an interval to the guard, and approximately in parallel with the guard. The guard 47 and the cap 16 respectively extend in the longitudinal direction of the shaving head 10. The fixed blade 18 is fixed to the shaving head 10, is placed between the guard 47 and the cap 16, and constitutes a blade tip being approximately in parallel with the guard 47 and the cap 16. The shaving head 10 constitutes a cavity 22 being adjacent to the fixed blade 18. On a cartridge 44 which is fitted in the cavity 22 in a manner to be slidably housed in the cavity 22, at least one sheet of the movable blade 48 is loaded. The movable blade 48 can move to the fixed blade during a shaving operation.
