PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk of simple structure which has good appearance when an optional part is not fitted to the desk, and to which supporting members for supporting the optional part can easily and rigidly be fitted. SOLUTION: Fitting holes 7 into which the supporting members 4 for supporting the optional part can be inserted are formed at the upper surface of the rear part of a top plate support 3 supporting a top plate. The positional relation of the rear part of the top plate support 3 where these fitting holes 7 are bored and the top plate 2 can be changed into a hole covering state where the upper end openings of the fitting holes 7 is covered with the rear part of the top plate 2 and a hole opening state where the rear end of the top plate 2 is positioned in more front than the upper end openings of the fitting holes 7 which are exposed.
