<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for controlling the tension of a rolled stock by which excellent tension control is realized by improving the accuracy of tension measurement by taking centrifugal force and Coriolis force into consideration when estimating the interstand tension of the rolled stock in continuous rolling. SOLUTION: An applying member 5 is pressed against a rolled stock 3. Reaction force F generated at that time, moving amount X by pressing and the passing speed V of the rolled stock 3 between stands 1, 2 are individually measured and the resultant force FV of the centrifugal force and the Coriolis force which act on the rolled stock 3 is calculated with a prescribed calculation formula based on the the theory of the strength of materials by using the moving amount X by pushing and the passing speed V, and the component FT of force in the moving direction by pressing is calculated by adding these resultant force FV and the reaction force F. The present tension value T is calculated by another prescribed calculation formula based on the theory of the strength of materials by using these the component FT of force in the moving direction by pressing and the moving amount X by pressing, and the value of a manipulated variable is calculated so that the present tension value T is made to coincide with the target value Tr of tension and outputted.</p> |
