PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very excellent method for manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane module while the yield of a product is enhanced by preventing the generation of a leakage at the manufacture step and to easily supply the module having a high packing ratio of a hollow fiber membrane. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module comprises a step to insert a wet bundle of many hollow fiber membranes into a cylindrical body having both ends for opening a space between the inner cavity and the exterior surface of each of the hollow fiber membranes, a step to dry the wet bundle as it is inserted into the cylindrical body, a step to engage the cylindrical body with a housing having at least a portion to be fit to the shape of each end of the cylindrical body by adjusting the portions fit to each other, a step to fix the cylindrical body to the housing and a step to fix the housing to the exterior surfaces of the hollow fiber membranes liquid-tightly in the both ends of the bundle of the hollow fiber membranes so that the inner cavities of the hollow fiber membranes are in opened states.
