PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing filter unit and an air cleaning system with which sterilizing performance is more surely maintained, the occurrence of secondary infection and foreign smell is prevented, safety in maintenance is secured and energy saving can be achieved. SOLUTION: This unit is composed of a dust collecting filter 2 and an active photocatalyst sterilizing filter 3 attached along with the upstream side face of this dust collecting filter 2.
