SOLID CATALYST AND METHOD FOR OXIDIZING ALKANES BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid catalyst easy to prepare and also easy to handle because of its stability in air and to provide a method for oxidizing alkanes using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The solid catalyst is obtained by reacting a transition metal alkoxide with an alkynyl alcohol, supporting the resulting transition metal alkynyl alkoxide on a carrier and carrying out firing. When the solid catalyst is used, various alkanes can be oxidized and ketones and alcohols can be efficiently produced. The catalyst is easily separated after use and can be reused.
