PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting troubles with a wheelchair rider for automatically informing a third party of any troubles to prevent serious accidents if such troubles are found in the biological information of the wheelchair rider. SOLUTION: The device includes a rider detecting means for detecting a rider on a wheelchair; a power input means for supplying power to the device when a person is determined to be seated on the wheelchair; an unconstrained biological information detecting means for detecting a biological information signal of the rider unconstrained; a biological information signal extracting means for extracting the biological information signal from the unconstrained biological information detecting means; a biological information trouble analyzing means for analyzing troubles indicated by the biological information signal; and a means for informing a third party of troubles with the rider using a receiving means by transmitting a biological trouble signal using a communications means if the biological information trouble analyzing means outputs the biological trouble signal indicating troubles with the living body.
