PURPOSE: An air compressor for power reduction is provided to reduce power for bypass of compressed air by opening and closing selectively a first bypass line and a second bypass line with a slider member. CONSTITUTION: An air compressor for power reduction(100) has a first bypass line(10); a second bypass line(20); an elastic member(30) and a slider member(40). The first bypass line connects a vent passage for compressed air(11) of the air compressor with an air inlet(13). The second bypass line connects a first through hole(15) and a second through hole(17). First and second through holes are formed to the vent passage of compressed air. The elastic member is installed near the first bypass line. The slider member is connected to the elastic member. The slider member is installed to slide inside the vent passage for compressed air. Thereby, the first through hole, the second through hole and the bypass line are opened and closed selectively by the slider member. Therefore, power is reduced.
