PURPOSE: An IPC(Inter Processor Communication) structure between TDMs(Time Division Multiplexings) in a media apparatus and a method therefor are provided to perform an IPC routing in a hardware method in a TDM physical layer when performing an IPC between the TDMs by assigning a TDM common bus to each media matched with the TDM physical layer, and transmitting and receiving IPC data through the TDM common bus. CONSTITUTION: A TDM common channel is assigned to media matched with a media apparatus for the IPC between TDMs. A TDM physical layer(40) performs an IPC routing of IPC data received through the TDM common channel in a hardware method. The TDM physical layer(40) has a TDM transmitting and receiving unit(41) for transmitting and receiving data frame processed in each TDM channel to transmit and receive the IPC data. The TDM physical layer(40) has a frame routing unit(42) for analyzing received IPC data and converting the analyzed IPC data in case that the IPC data received through the TDM transmitting and receiving unit(41) are received through a TDM channel, and transmitting the converted IPC data to an IPC process layer(60) through a media data layer(50) to perform a general IPC data routing. If the IPC data are received through the TDM common channel, the frame routing unit(42) performs an IPC routing in a hardware method for transmitting the IPC data to the TDM common channel again.
