PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a sales promotion system which effectively suppresses the theft of terminal devices, also whose influence on surroundings due to a malfunction, alarm notification, etc., is minimized and which can be realized at a low cost. SOLUTION: This sales promotion system 1 consists of a plurality of terminal devices 3 which display images for promoting merchandise sales and a transmitter 2 for controlling the devices 3. The system 1 transmits an operation control signal every prescribed period. The devices 3 receive the operation control signal transmitted from the transmitter 2 and also stop the operation in case a state in which the operation contorl signal cannot be received continues for a time equally to or longer than a prescribed time. |
